On June 17, Egis team in Ukraine concluded the scientific and creative competition that brought together talented students from various Ukrainian cities — Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv and Sumy. Participants from leading universities demonstrated strong motivation and interest in finding solutions to pressing transportation and logistics challenges facing our country.
The competition was organized as part of a youth intellectual potential development project, aimed at supporting talented specialists and creating opportunities for their professional growth and potential employment at Egis. Students submitted essays on topics related to urban and intercity mobility, electromobility, road safety, smart transport, logistics, spatial planning, and regulatory frameworks in the transportation sector.
Our team hosted the final meeting and award ceremony at the Egis office in Kyiv. All participants received commemorative gifts, while two winners, Daryna Pivchuk, a student at Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, and Ulyana Banakh, a student at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, were awarded cash prizes of UAH 10,000 each. Additionally, the jury granted two special recognitions with prizes of UAH 5,000 each. You can check all awarded works below.
Following the official part, students had the opportunity to visit one of Egis’s projects in Novi Petrivtsi — the construction of a new anti-radiation shelter for the local lyceum, implemented with support from the Belgian development agency Enabel. Before the site visit, a safety briefing was held, and everyone was provided with helmets and vests in accordance with international standards.
The students expressed sincere gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the competition, highlighted its practical value, and showed eagerness to become ambassadors for future Egis initiatives, helping to spread information among youth. Special thanks to all student participants for their enthusiasm, initiative, and desire to grow!
